The Weibull distribution is a continuous probability distribution, named after Swedish mathematician Waloddi Weibull.
This model is popular statistical model for life and failure data in mechanical engineering. The advantage of Weibull analysis is the ability to create failure analysis with small samples.
The Weibull cumulative distribution function has an explicit equation with three parameters, but in most cases can be used the two parameters Weibull form, with failure free period (t0 = 0).
