Remove Hook Gear on Singer 431 G Convertible.
How to remove the Feed Dog? First we locate the screws and undo them. On the Singer 431 G the Feed Dog Screws are behind the Hook Gear.

Then it was time to remove the hook gear on the Singer 431 G Convertible vintage sewing machine.
Red Nail Polish is used to mark the mesh of the Hook Shaft Gear and the Hook Driving Shaft Gear. The only gear we remove is the Hook Shaft Bevel Gear. This meshes with the Hook Driving Shaft Bevel Gear. We will not touch or disturb the Hook Driving Shaft Bevel Gear.
This is an excellent time to oil or grease dismantled parts.
