Welcome to my UPDATED Human Comedy Mission - Lake Maggiore 1HR Race & Strategy Guide on Gran Turismo 7

The updated guide for the this race and was recorded on Patch 1.24

This race was completed on HARD difficulty.

Since its been about 3 months and many game patches later, we have had a lot of changes to the game including Balance of Performance changes and also some physics changes so I thought id revisit these endurance missions and revise them incase anyone hasn’t completed them or you haven’t been able to get a gold medal yet.

Car I used for this race: Porsche 911 RSR Gr.3 ’17

BoP is applied to this race so you can’t change the setup of the car.

The Porsche was my choice but you can pretty much use any Gr.3 car you desire. Everyone has different driving styles and every car requires a different approach with driving them but you will want something that will be smooth through low and medium speed corners while still having some power for the straights. The Gr.3 Supra is in my opinion another good choice.

The Porsche can oversteer a little bit which trying to apply too much brake and turning at the same time so keep that in mind if you end up using it.

Strategy TDLR: Use the Racing Medium Tyres, 2 Pit Stops for fresh tyres and fuel.
First pit stop should be at 40 minutes remaining and the second pit stop will be at 20 minutes remaining in the race. Both stops require fresh tyres and fuel.
You don’t need to save any fuel for this race keep the mix at level 1 the entire race. You don’t even need to manage tyre wear this race is all about how fast and consistent you can be. If you can manage to do anything better then 1.57s then you will win this race with ease.

If you can’t even manage 1.58s or better I suggest either decreasing the difficulty or put in a bit more practice until you’re fast enough.

Don’t try and over drive the car, it will cost you lap time. Just try to be smooth and consistent.

You can really abuse Track Limits on this track especially through the ’S’ section before the back straight. Be careful tho you can still get penalties for cutting them too much.

I have the Traction Control set to level 0 for this race, you can use whatever Traction Control setting you want but the higher you have it the more lap time you will lose.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask me in comments below.
