This videop is about cascading of the CD4017 counter ICs to get an out put of upto 25. This is part A, where we will understand how the pins work. Knowledge gained will be handy when doing the actual cascade in part B, link in the description.

We will use 555 timer IC as the clock generator to allow all the 3 CD4017 ICs to loop over their outputs. Watch our previous video to learn how to create this clock signal using the 555 timer IC. Additionally, we will require two AND gates with two inputs each.
