∙ Jervis uses unique gadgets inside his hats and clocks to assist him in controlling the minds of his victims with deep hypnosis techniques. 
∙ The Mad Hatter once mind-controlled the entire Gotham Police Force and tricked them into committed terrible crimes.
∙ Bruce Wayne's childhood is always brought into play when the Mad Hatter is around. Unfortunately for Batman, one of his fondest memories of his mother is when she read him Alice In Wonderland.
∙ There have been multiple examples of Mad Hatter trying to get a hold of Batman’s cowl.
