BDZ Cargo's electric locomotive 46 040 is Back On Track! 🤩 Trainspotting special

Описание к видео BDZ Cargo's electric locomotive 46 040 is Back On Track! 🤩 Trainspotting special

🚨 BDZ Cargo's Class 46 recently got 💪 strengthened by 🔵 46 040 which literally came back from the ☠️ afterlife (except it never got scrapped). Designed by 🇸🇪ASEA, built in 1987 by 🇷🇴 Electroputere, and Overhauled by 🇷🇴 Reloc Craiova, this electric spent literally decades under the open 🌃 skies in 🇧🇬 Karnobat before its fate changed. 🤩🗒 46 040 is the latest (fourth, to be exact) electric locomotive that was brought back to life by 🏭 Romanian Reloc. Sent for repairs to its "homeland" country in 2019, since the beginning of 2020 it has been driving trains for the 🇧🇬 Bulgarian state operator BDZ Cargo.

🆕 What's new?
Comparing it to the recently-overhauled (46 036 and 46 037), not much has changed in the locomotive's exterior appearance. Its 🎨 livery is mostly the same with a few exceptions such as the NVR-numbering style on the fronts and the central part of the roof which is now gray. The BIG news is that this is the first Class 46 locomotive of BDZ Cargo to actually feature ❄️ air conditioning, so drivers will be finally enjoying some cool air 🥶 while driving in the summer - summers in Bulgaria have been quite 🥵 hot and dry recently. The reinforced side cab windows are also a first for BDZ Cargo. They will now provide a quieter and more isolated environment inside the driver's cab.

🎥 About the video
The video was taken over three days in 📆 January-February 2020, mostly on the 🗻 sub-Balkan mainline 3, between the stations of Pirdop and Klisura. The last bit of the video is the only exception here - that was taken in mid-March at Pobit Kamak station, which is located on mainline 1. About the trains - the night one (at the beginning) shows 46 040 with its SECOND freight service after coming back to Bulgaria. This one is transporting copper production from the Aurubis plant in Pirdop. The following scenes show full 🛢⚠️ sulphuric acid tanks from the same plant to the 🌊 port of Burgas. Lastly, you see the empty return, service of the train we saw at the beginning.

Oh, notice also how the clip ends❗️💥 Yep, that's what happens when you're using cheap, poorly-built camera mounts. 🤣
