"RASAS - Ritual and Sophisticated Areas of Sound"(2000-) is an ongoing cycle of potentially 225 fragments for small orchestra (of which about 30 exist to date). Each fragment explores one particular emotion, or "rasa" as they are called in Indian aesthetic theory. Each ensembles selects its own sequence of fragments: no two performances of RASAS are the same configuration.
