Sandeep Bhagwati's comprovisation score "PRANA Music of Breaths" for four voices and four trombones is a concert-installation around the notion of the breath as the only measure of time in music: musicians perform various musical tasks that are sometimes simple, sometimes richly structured, but: they must always complete one task in one single breath, then pause before they take up the next musical task. Thus emerges a highly contemplative, inwards oriented and immersive musical environment in nine movements.
