I think something everyone struggles with is how to get more plays on soundcloud. It can be really frustrating putting all this time and effort into a track only to have it flop because no one is listening to it. You know your track is good but it's not getting the attention that it deserves. More times than not, this is a publishing problem. See traditionally it was the artists job to write a song and a records labels job to publish and promote their music, but with the industry in such a pivotal, shifting state, it's very often that musicians are now left wearing the hats of producer and publisher. While this can seem daunting, this gives you a lot more control over where you're music gets sent to, and once you know how to do this, can be very powerful.
