With what i found imagine how much stuff is buried here

Digging and detecting around a cellar hole the ground is loaded with old stuff , relics and things. I put the small 5 inch coil on my Teknetics G2+ metal detector and spent a couple hours cleaning and picking. First thing to do is move the tree limbs and brush then swing and get rid of as much sheet metal as possible. Once I did a bit of cleaning around the cellar hole I was able to start isolating targets and hear the better material in the dirt. I found three dinnerware knives hundreds of years old, brass harness pieces, tools, lantern parts and more. You know there is a lot of stuff buried in the ground at this old abandoned and deserted New England farm house. People lived here from the 1700s into the 1800s.
As soon as you open up the ground you find shard, china and pottery 10 inches deep. This is how you metal detect at spots that are trashy and full of sheet metal. Clean, swing, clean and dig again.
