Wat Rong Khun, The White Temple, Chiang Rai, Thailand 2020 | The Most Breathtaking Thai Architecture

Welcome to Wat Rong Khun, White Temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand. This amazing Thai temple is a great example of breathtaking architecture in Thailand!

In early 2020, we went to Chiang Rai to finally visit one of the locations on my bucket list, Wat Rong Khun or what's commonly known in the English-speaking world as The White Temple. This amazing temple was designed, funded and constructed by local national artist, Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat.

His masterpiece, Wat Rong Khun or The White Temple, was created to symbolize the journey against earthly greed and towards pure enlightenment through Buddhism. The colour white, which is so significantly portrayed in The White Temple, represents the purity of Buddha and Buddhism itself.
