I try to make all my Shabbat meals easy, from scratch, with whole foods & hopefully yummy! I don't usually follow a recipe, I cook what I have and how I feel.

This Shabbat:

NO OIL FRYING - FRIED CHICKEN WINGS
-frozen or fridge chicken wings
-put in high temp oven on baking sheet
-when one side is crispy take out and flip to other side
-when both sides are crispy, its all done!

HEALTHY SWEET CHILI SAUCE
-2 tbsp ketchup
-1 tbsp vinegar
-1 tsp honey
-1 tsp soy sauce (optional)
-1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder

CREAMY FISH CHOWDER SOUP
NO DAIRY / PARVE
-2 potatoes
-garlic
- 2-3 pieces any white fish (if vegan add 2 cups of corn)
-1 big onion
- 3 celery stalks
- 2 carrots

Cook all with a little water for 5 minutes
then fill pot with water - 3 inches above ingredients
TO THICKEN SOUP
put in the last 5 minutes:
-1 cup of plant based milk with 1/2 cup of chickpea flour


BANANA OAT & CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE
3 Medium Bananas (best if brown and spotted)
2 1/2 cup Oat flour (thin flour, I make my own in blender)
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp Ground Flax OR Ground Chia Seeds
2 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Vinegar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup water (or until very thick pancake batter)
1/3 cup of chocolate chips

-Mix all together
-Put in baking tray with baking sheet underneath or spray pan with oil
-BAKE 350*F 175*C for 45 mins -1 hour or until you check with toothpick (or fork or knife) and it comes out dry
-Let it sit for 15 mins before cutting, or else it's too gooey and not set or fluffy yet.


NO KNEAD FOCCICIA BREAD (1 big loaf)
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp vinegar
1 3/4 cup warm water
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp yeast
1 tsp honey


HOT PINK TECHINA
¼ cup lemon juice
1 cup tahini
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cumin
1/2 cup water
1 small cooked beet

GARAM MARSALA CROCKPOT
2 onions
4 stalks celery
3 carrots
3 potatoes
chicken
1 1/2 cups barley

2 tbsp garam marsala
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp tomato paste
salt & pepper
water to go 1 inch over all ingredients
