Cummins ISX15, fault code 0559 with fuel pressure issue. Could be the aftermarket injectors.

Truck came in with a MIL, connected the Cummins Insite and found fault code 0559 fuel pressure related.

Found injectors were all replaced a few months ago, when the CEL comes on the truck loses power.

In my process, I look at the fuel filters. Perform a fuel pressure test to see if the rail is reading 28K to 30K psi.

Next step is to perform an injector performance test, this test is done using the Insite program and requires nothing else be done except observe the readings and must be done in a safe manner.

Found the injectors failed at multiple point and the fuel pressure rail took almost 2 minutes to reach the desired psi.

Removed all 6 fuel lines and found the nut that secured the feed tube was not torqued properly to the 52 FT LBS. torqued all 6 nuts and fuel lines to the correct specs.

Performed the same tests with better results. Customer took the truck and performed a road test under load. #dieselrepair #cummins #ISX15
