DR and his wife Laura have been married for 17 years and have one daughter. In May of 2016, God gloriously saved DR & Laura from a life of alcohol and drugs. Over the last 5 1/2 years God has truly transformed their lives from the inside out; DR has preached to millions of people around the world and has seen nearly 118,000 people trust Christ as their personal Savior! This is the vision and driving force behind the Voice of Hope ministry he leads.

About the Conference

The Salt & Light 2022 Conference celebrates its 5th year by welcoming prominent leaders from across the nation to declare the TRUTH of God’s Word to educate, equip, and encourage attendees to stand up and become part of the cultural conversation by following the biblical mandate of being Salt & Light. This year’s event drew attendees to Charlotte from across the state and region to Freedom House Church to participate in the largest faith-based policy conservative two-day conference in North Carolina. Using a TED-style format, each speaker is provided 15-to-20 minutes representing the seven mountains of influence (family, religion, education, media, entertainment, business and government).

The Salt & Light Conference is sponsored by NC Faith & Freedom Coalition, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on empowering faithful Christians with the facts necessary to understand which public policies reflect our values, and which ones undermine them. The organization works to inform voters about critical issues relevant to faith-based communities and then equip our attendees with the tools they need to be a force for good in their community.
