Welcome to Day Five of our 40 Days of Lenten Reflections on Catholic Wellness TV.

Today’s reflection invites us to examine the fast God truly desires a fast that goes beyond abstaining from food and reaches the heart of Christian living: love in action.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks of the final judgment using the image of a shepherd separating sheep from goats. He reminds us that the Kingdom of God is prepared for those who lived lives of humility, obedience, and mercy.

Feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, caring for the sick, and visiting prisoners are not optional acts they are the true signs of faith.

Lent loses its meaning if our prayers do not lead us to compassion. True piety is concern for others. True fasting is justice, mercy, and love lived out daily.

As we continue this Lenten journey, may our sacrifices create room for generosity and our devotion bear fruit in acts of kindness.
