I'm currently in Herat, where we'll be exploring the steps to prepare Kichiri Gosht Land, a traditional Afghan dish.
Kichiri Goshte Land is a traditional dish from Herat, Afghanistan, renowned for its flavorful and tender meat cooked with rice. The meat is prepared meticulously, starting with the sheep's skin and wool being removed, then lightly singed over a fire for thorough cleaning and cutting. 🐑🔥
The meat is carefully salted, skewered, and placed in the sun before being cooked in a pot with water, rice, and a fragrant mix of spices. Onions are fried to perfection and mixed in, creating a mouthwatering aroma.
