Large Abscess I&D - Right lower back

Our patient come in due to an intense pain to his right lower back. The area was swollen warm and tense. He had 2 rounds of antibiotics for his private doctor, ultrasound scans and was still awaiting some sort of resolution but the pains just kept getting worse. At this point the recommendation of another test (CT scan) was not going to help him in any way he needed an I+D ASAP to drain his abscess. Fortunately he was refereed by one of our patients and we got him the appropriate treatment.
We choose to have it removed under local anesthesia so our goal was to remove all of the lesion to reduce the chances of re-occurrence yet again..
