Paper Mill Stubbins, Stubbins Lane, Stubbins.

1911 – After the disused Printing and Bleaching Works was purchased by the Crompton Brothers, the Paper Mill produced its first sheet of paper on 31st December 1911. Mill Manager – J.T. Entwistle.
During the First World War they began to produce cigarette paper.
1924 Kelly’s Lancs Directory – Crompton’s (Stubbins) Ltd., Paper Manufacturer, Stubbins Paper Mill, Stubbins Lane. Telephone No 140.
1940 – British American Tobacco took over the business, controlled by Wiggins Teape.
1951 Festival Year, Ramsbottom Souvenir Handbook – Advert for “Cromptons (Stubbins) Ltd. Stubbins Paper Mill, Ramsbottom. Manufacturers of Best Quality Cigarette Paper.”
2000 - Georgia Pacific Corporation took over the mill from Fort James.
2011 – Stubbins Mill celebrates centenary of paper making at the mill. Mill manager – Bob McGraa.
2012 – SCA Hygiene Products bought Stubbins Mill.
2017 – Demolition of Engineering block by J. Bryan Demolition.
Present - Essity Ltd., Stubbins Mill, Stubbins Lane – Manufacturers of Tissues.
