In this video, we are going to introduce two types of solar controllers: PWM controllers, and MPPT controllers.

PWM, or Pulse Width Modulation controller is a simpler and more affordable solar charge controller. These controllers are ideal for smaller, simpler setups with low operating costs and low maintenance, making them ideal for entry-level systems.

Another type is MPPT controllers, which stands for Maximum Power Point Tracking, it’s an advanced technology used in solar charge controllers. It reaches a higher voltage, optimizes the output of the solar panels to get the maximum energy, while maintaining the right charging voltage for the battery.
