Fanatec Podium Shaft Extension for DD1/DD2 - Review and Test with Z Ring Quick Release Modification

Hi guys! I'm so excited to finally release this video. This upgrade to my simracing cockpit is something I've had on my mind for many weeks - and besides the time needed to problem solve my way through it, the flu also took two weeks away from it.

Nonetheless - here it is! My Fanatec Podium PS4 (DD1) now has a 125mm shaft extender purchased from Rudolf Kraus (https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/rk_engine... Rudolf makes extenders for the Fanatec DD1 and DD2 (they are interchangeable) in lengths of 75mm, 100mm and 125mm and - spoiler alert - they're great.

While upgrading my Podium wheelbase I also took the opportunity to fit a Zappadoc Z ring - which I thought would be simple and quick, but turned out to pose the biggest problem of the entire shaft modification.

3D printing was a new endeavour for me before this video but WOW - it was fantastic learning the process and I can't wait to see where it will lead me from here on.
