The Family Support Worker and The Strength Of Partnerships

My people come from far and wide. Bundjalung Country is where my Aboriginal connections originate from, Torres Strait Islands, Mer Island and all the way out to Lifu Island also recognising my South Sea Islander culture. I am immensely proud of our Culture and take every opportunity to learn from my Elders.

Professionally my strengths are within People and Program Management, over recent years leading the ‘Birthing in Our Community’ with Institute for Urban Indigenous Health. With our focus on ‘harnessing early intervention and prevention’ we support Mob to grow a Strong Black Deadly Family.

The Birthing on Country Centre for Research Excellence was awarded in 2020 to The Molly Wardaguga Research Centre. The BoC CRE Seminar Series is a key activity for the Centre to share the work, resources, and information with other communities, researchers, students, and service providers about the amazing, innovative work that is happening throughout Australia.
