While on patrol near the below listed venue, 50Mash put out a BOL of a suspect vehicle that was involved in a retail fraud and felonious assault with Utica Police Department. They advised Utica was chasing the suspect and the suspect vehicle rammed their patrol car several times. After a short pursuit Utica Police Department terminated their chase at M53 and 27 Mile Road. The description of the suspect vehicle was a gold Jeep. I was traveling westbound 32 Mile Road from North Avenue when 50Mash advised that the suspect vehicle was last seen eastbound on 32 Mile Road. As I approached Romeo Plank Road on 32 Mile Road I observed the suspect vehicle traveling eastbound. I turned around and began following the suspect vehicle. I was waiting for back up before activating my patrol car lights. The suspect vehicle accelerated, entered the westbound lanes and began passing vehicles traveling eastbound on 32 Mile. I activated my lights and sirens, the suspect vehicle failed to pull over. I advised 50 Mash and Station 20 that I was involved in a pursuit. The driver was subsequently identified as Joseph Lee Jackson and arrested for fleeing elude, resisting obstructing, and driving on a suspended license and turned over to Utica Police Department.
