クリンソウ　～奥日光 千手ケ浜～　‘Primula japonica’ blooming at Senjugahama in Nikko

日光中禅寺湖の千手ケ浜にある、クリンソウの群落を訪れました。千手ケ浜の名は、山岳信仰の僧であり、日光を開山した勝道上人が、霊峰・男体山を仰ぐこの地で千手観音を感得し、784年に千手堂を建立したことに由来します。千手ケ浜の仙人庵は、クリンソウの群落地として全国的にも有名な場所です。仙人庵は、個人のお宅なのですが、約１ヘクタールにわたる美しい水辺やクリンソウの群生地を、一般の人々にも開放して下さっています。
千手ケ浜の仙人庵に咲く、美しいクリンソウの彩りをご鑑賞ください。

We visited a community of‘Primula japonica’at Senjugahama of Chuzenji Lake in Nikko. The name Senjugahama comes from the fact that Shodo-shonin, a monk of mountain worship who opened Nikko, sensed the thousand-handed Kannon in this place looking up at the spiritual peak Mt.Nantai, and built the Senju-do Temple in 784. Sennin-an in Senjugahama is a place that is famous nationwide as a community of‘Primula japonica’. Sennin-an is a private home, but it is open to the general public with a beautiful waterfront area of about one hectare and a colony of‘Primula japonica’.
