Jack Gartside (1942-2009) was an excellent fly fisherman and a world renowned fly tier and fly designer with a number of innovative fly concepts. The Soft Hackle Streamer is his most famous concept, featured in Judith Dunham's bestseller "The Art of the Trout Fly" (1988). Jack did not allow videos to be recorded with him tying fearing competition to his mail order business. The only exception known to me is a long private video recorded in my home in Oslo in 1990. This video is an excerpt from that video, never before published.
