Solange describes her dreams, her fears, her success and her struggles in this emotional story of her life to becoming a Beauty Queen. In an emotional plea she describes how she is a person too and how she would ask employers to give transgender people a chance: “We have been through so many serious personal issues of our own, your business issues are no problem for us." Solange Dekker is a proud 24-year-old woman who achieved her goal to become a Beauty Queen. Her dream didn't seem realistic to her family whom saw her grow up as a struggling boy. Solange was voted Miss Trans Star International and is now competing at regional competitions as the first transgender competitor.
