V's Kitchen - Episode 18 " TARO ROOT DUMPLING"

Ingredients:
LARD OIL 75 gram
WHITE CREAM 60 gram
WATER 2.5 liter
SUGAR 3/4 cup
SALT One pinch
NON-GLUTINOUS FLOUR 225gram
TARO,COOKED One pound
CHAR SIEW, CHOPPED
FIVE SPICED POWDER ½ teaspoon
MSG One pinch

Step:
1. ADD IN NON-GLUTINOUS FLOUR, LARD OIL, TARO, MSG, WHITE CREAM, FIVE SPICE POWDER, WATER, SUGAR AND SALT INTO A BOWL AND MIX IT EVENLY.

2. Roll the taro dough until the shape of long cylinder and cut it into equally-sized pieces.

3. Create a depression in the center of the wrapper with your thumb, and then add 1 rounded teaspoon of the filling which is chopped char siew. Press the filling into place inside the depression, so that you can fold the wrapper neatly around the sides. Pinch the dumpling closed and mold into the shape of an egg.

4. Deep fried it on 200° c temperature around 2-3mins and ready to serve.

食材:
猪油 75克
白奶油 60克
水 2.5公升
糖 3/4杯
盐 少许
澄面粉 225克
蒸熟后的芋头 1磅
切碎的叉烧
五香粉 ½茶匙
味精 少许

步骤:
1.在一个碗中加入澄面粉,水,猪油,白奶油,煮熟的芋头,味精,五香粉,糖和盐并用手搓均匀。

2.将面团滚至长条状并切块至适当的大小备用。

3.将切好的小面团压成碗状并把切碎的叉烧适量地放在面团中,并把它关紧成一个鸡蛋的形状。

4. 用200度高温的热油 将包好的芋角炸2-3分钟就可食用。
