Iran's First Gallery Alley | Art in the Alley | shiraz

The first gallery alley in Iran, located in the historic Narengestan-e-Qavam passage in the Goud-e-Araban neighborhood, adjacent to the Narengestan-e-Qavam Garden Museum, was established with the support of the historical district municipality of Shiraz. This project was implemented in 2019 by Dr. Adel Yazdi, a painter and sculptor, along with his team, in an improvisational manner. The main objective of this project is to attract tourists by creating a dialogue between tradition and modernity within the historic fabric of Shiraz, captivating the eyes of every passerby.

The stories of the Orange Tree's wedding and Siyavash's passage through the fire are depicted on the structures of the historic Narengestan-e-Qavam passage.

"Adel Yazdi," a painter, sculptor, and artist from Shiraz, has been creating paintings, sculptures, and printmaking works for nearly three decades. His presence and residence in the historic house of the Swordsmiths in the old district of Shiraz led to the establishment of the first gallery alley in Iran in this area. Today, it has become one of the cultural, artistic, and tourist centers of Shiraz.
