In this video, we look at how to diagnose the rear wiper not working on this BMW 5 series touring E61. This car originally required the usual E61 tailgate wiring repair. I have already fixed the damaged wiring on the tailgate hinge, this should always be checked first for any BMW E61 tailgate wiring faults. It turns out this was a simple fix.

For any automotive diagnostics, it is always important to gather as much information and history on the vehicle as possible. In this case, as soon as I found out where the relay was located, I knew exactly what the fault was.
