Autistics Boys First Time Speaking

The other day I stumbled across an old video I thought was lost, a memory that is burned into my mind & I’ll never forget. I was sitting at work and got a video text from Kaidales therapist of him speaking words for the first time ever. I couldn’t believe it. Tears filled my eyes as I heard my boys voice for the first time at 5 years old. For 5 years I wondered if Kaidale would ever speak, if I would ever hear his sweet voice. Those 5 years of waiting seemed like an eternity. I wanted to share this special memory with y’all because I know the feeling of waiting to hear your kids voice. During those early years, I always appreciated hearing other family’s “first time speaking” stories, it gave me hope that maybe one day I might have a similar story to tell. I hope this video gives y’all some encouragement if your still in the waiting stage.
