Making a Mixed Media Collage Floral

Sometimes paintings come together quickly, and sometimes, like this one, they can get started and then sit for a year before I feel the urge to finish it. I’ve learned to go by feel and not push it. I think one of the things I love about this painting is that the base layers were from a different time, and the finishing layers are more representational of where I’ve developed to since then. I really like the blending of the two. I hope you enjoy it!
