Audi A4 B8 & B8.5 Allroad Coilover Issues - Rear Springs won't work, Solution inside (only all road)

Описание к видео Audi A4 B8 & B8.5 Allroad Coilover Issues - Rear Springs won't work, Solution inside (only all road)

In this video we remove the factory suspension and install H&R coilovers. The Allroad has a much heavier curb weight than an avant or wagon but H&R sells the same kit for both. This turned into a major problem as the highest height for the rear was the lowest I would ever want it. I actually needed to adjust the front a touch lower so it wouldn't look awkward.

I had some great help from Jason at H&R Special Springs out of Washington. He recommended I contact ACH Tuning (who also does Hartmann Wheels) and Skyler helped me purchase the springs listed below. They were very easy to work with and their help was crucial to resolving my issue.

Tools used:
16mm, 18mm, 21mm both box end and sockets and Mountain Wrenches which I show you below. 10mm allen wrench socket for rear spring perch that I used to adjust ride height. I also used the special tool for spreading apart the bottom of the strut assembly along with a spring compressor to change over the upper hats that looks like a spider as mentioned in the video.

Important part numbers:
H&R New rear springs: 299092HA2
(These are 20mm longer but identically the same on top and bottom along with the same spring rate)
Mountain Wrenches: I love these and have used them for years. There are now several different places to purchase and varieties. Here is one example from Amazon that I found.
