Описание к видео Chicago Basin CO 14ers -- Eolus, North Eolus, Sunlight, Windom (from Purgatory -- no Train!)

Hike Dates: June 30 and July 1, 2023. Eolus, North Eolus, Sunlight, and Windom, in the San Juans near Durango and Silverton, represented CO 14ers 25, 26, 27, and 28 for me and were the first of 22 14ers bagged over a two-week hiking trip/vacation. I started from the Purgatory trailhead, which makes the total hike around 39 miles. If you take the train into Needleton, it shortens the hike by 9 miles each way, which many people do, but I felt that was cheating. I also saw a mountain lion on the way out, only 1/2 mile from the trailhead! I had my camera away at that point so got no footage, plus was freaked out. Only my 2nd mountain lion sighting ever. Chicago Basin is gorgeous!
