BDO Gathering Pro Reveals BEST Snake Meat & Scorpion Rotation

Snake and Scorpion Meat are extremely good, scarce resources that few people know how to gather efficiently. I interviewed some of the most skilled gatherers in the BDO community until one of them revealed what I believe to be the most efficient, state-of-the art Tshira Ruins rotation that YouTube has ever seen.

You should gather Snake Meat and Scorpion Meat to make Freekeh Snake Stew and Grilled Scorpion. Cooking these recipes is very profitable. You can even use them as ingredients for Couscous and Teff Sandwiches, another 2 profitable dishes. They go into Valencia Meals, the most profitable Guru Cooking Imperial Box in Black Desert Online. The snake meat and scorpion meat rotation is Drieghan below the Tshira Ruins monster zone. You can identify it easily by a certain curve the path goes. The travel time is a downside to this spot, but it’s not that bad with a fast horse. Bring your standard gathering buffs and your Gathering gear. Use a Magic Butchering Knife if your Mastery is lower than 650 and a Loggia, Dostter or Manos Butchering Knife if your Mastery is higher than 650. Once you arrive at that curve, move over the rocky ledge north of you and find the first snake by the tree.

We will be killing 22 snakes, 11 scorpions and up to 9 boars in the standard version of this rotation. How many boars you gather depends on how fast you are, which depends on your skill and your class. You aren’t here for boars, but at the same time, you don’t want to outgrind the rotation and idle until the Snakes and Scorpions have respawned. I suggest you start with 9 boars as I am showing in this video, and remove 1 boar at a time until you find that you outgrind the rotation. Kill just as many boars as necessary to avoid idle time.

What makes this rotation special is that it gathers two Scorpions on a hilltop. Most other rotations gather too little Scorpion Meat. It also skips an inefficient Snake on slow classes. Lastly, using boars as buffer made a lot of sense to me when I interviewed ZeroToxiciti, the pro-level gatherer who shared this rotation.

Best practices:
Use movement skills, skills for fast kills and area damage kills.
Don't go afk, Garmoth may appear and kill you.
Bring Energy Potions.
Cook with your Snake and Scorpion Meat.

Bonus tips:
You can kill Scorpion #4 by standing on the rock of Scorpion #3.
Be efficient about climbing down the cliff.
Modify the rotation for Musa: No boars, 3 extra snakes, 1 extra scorpion.
Consider going to other spots: Gorgo Rock Belt / Basilisk's Den for Snake Meat, Pilgrim's Haven for Scorpion Meat. Only recommended for fast classes.
