Summary:

You need to know 3 important assumptions to understand Red Meat Gathering in BDO:

1. All Red Meat should be valued the same. The reason is that selling it is not worth it. You should always cook with it instead. Because all Red Meat is perfectly interchangeable, there is no real value difference between them. For example, you could value Red Meat at 9,900 silver.

2. Whether a Red Meat Gathering spot is good depends on gathers per hour, which can be up to 1200.

3. I present the spots in terms of a ranking from best to worst. But this ranking is subject to change based on what class you play, as classes are different.

The 4 best Red Meat Gathering rotations are:

1. Foxes at Forest of Seclusion at around 1200 gathers per hour. The density makes this spot the best for most classes.

2. Wolves at Imp Cave (near Agris Steppe) at 1150 gathers per hour. This is the second-best option for most classes.

3. Wolves at Forest of Seclusion at close to 1150 gathers per hour. For most classes, it is worse than Imp Cave for Gathering Red Meat. Witch and Wizard are an exception.

4. Behr Deer / Elk, yet again at 1150 gathers per hour. Valkyrie does really due to her vacuum skill. It is not so good for other classes because many players come here. Although it is a good spot if you need to gather Farm Blood.

(5. Deer at Hexe Sanctuary. You should gather Red Meat during your Relic Scrolls for extra profit.)

Tips:

Don't be sad if you can't reach 1150 - 1200 gathers per hour immediately.

You can measure gathers per hour through your kill count in the P tab.

You can convert your gathers per hour into energy used per hour by multiplying them by x0.7. This is useful to do math with Bairog's Gathering Calculator.

Try to use all rare drops from Gathering instead of selling them to get more value out of them.

Cook with 1 second cooking time, or it will be inefficient. You can use Silver Embroidered Cook’s Clothes +3, Verdure Draught, Seafood Cron Meal, Life Spirit Stone, Advanced Cooking Utensil and the Canape Outfit from the Pearl Shop.

One way to make money by Cooking Red Meat is through Organic Feed. The recipe is 4 Bird Meat, 1 Dried Fish, 2 Oatmeal and 5 Red Meat. Even though it is a loss, you'll have to make some of your Oatmeal yourself, as the market is sold out.

Another option is Cheese Gratin. 3 Cheese, 5 Wheat Dough, 1 Grilled Sausage, 3 Red Sauce and 4 Vegetables. Instead of 5 Wheat Dough, you can use 3 other Dough except Teff Dough and Freekeh Dough. This time, you need to make Grilled Sausage at a loss from your Red Meat to cook the Cheese Gratin.

Red Sauce is an exception where 1 second Cooking Time does not apply, as you slow-cook it over night with TET-PEN Manos Cook's Clothes. This is a better way to spend AFK time than Fishing or Horse Training. Recipe: 1 Base Sauce, 2 Mineral Water, 1 Red Meat, 2 Sugar.
