Dosto, this is the legendary story of Company Quarter Master Havildar (CQMH) Abdul Hamid, a true son of India whose unmatched bravery changed the course of the 1965 Indo-Pak War.

📅 On 8th September 1965, near Cheema village, Abdul Hamid used his recoilless gun mounted on a jeep to ambush Pakistani Patton tanks hidden from sugarcane fields. With fearless determination, he destroyed 4 tanks in a single day, and on the very next day, he took down 3 more enemy tanks.

💥 Just as he was preparing to target another tank, Pakistani forces spotted him. Surrounded and under heavy fire, Abdul Hamid made the supreme sacrifice for his motherland.

For his indomitable courage and ultimate sacrifice, he was posthumously awarded India’s highest military honor – the Param Vir Chakra.
