After "Poetry In Motion", this song from 1961 was Johnny Tillotson's biggest chart success. Featured on Elvis's 'comeback album' "From Elvis In Memphis" (1969), it was probably the least lauded track, yet I've always loved it. It's pure country music, which Elvis seldom did, yet he loses himself in the lyrics, even repeating part of verse one within the second verse. It's very easy to play yet I've struggled a bit to play it exactly how I wanted it to sound. Recorded 20 May 2022 in the key of G, length 2 min 22 sec.
