Ford Fiesta 1.0 Titanium Auto Test Review

Описание к видео Ford Fiesta 1.0 Titanium Auto Test Review

The latest generation of the Ford Fiesta was launched during 2018 and simply added to the highly successful range in the Ford stable.
Featuring the bold Ford family face with the enlarged trapazoidal grille and new headlight treatment, it looks handsome and sporty.
Under the bonnet you find the familiar and highly respected 1.0 3 cylinder EcoBoost turbo petrol engine giving 74kW and 170Nm in this application.
Although there is also the 92kW version of this engine available, you can only get that with manual transmission. In the test car, the 6 speed auto is extremely smooth and seamless in operation and even provides "flappy paddles" if you decide to get a bit playful with the car.
Among the changes made for the latest version, Ford also paid special attention to the rear suspension and this has improved the ride and sure-footed handling of the car. Overall, it inspires confidence and contributes to safety.
The Fiesta has always been known for its sporty handling and this has been further enhanced on the new versions. I describe it as a FUN car, although still very practical as a 5 door hatch. Perhaps rear headroom is a touch compromised by the coupe/ fastback effect created by the sharply dropping lines at the rear.
Being Titanium spec the test car comes fully loaded as standard. Starting with Sync3 connectivity which I have regularly praised as being market leading. An 8" touchscreen with navigation is part of the package. Add keyless entry with push button start and stop/ start, climate control and 6 airbags plus much more.
If I ever have 1 complaint with the EcoBoost engine, it's the fact that when driven with a touch of verve to enjoy the available performance then fuel economy can suffer. During the test period, I experienced among the worst of traffic jams and ended the week with the car showing 8.0L/100km. I honestly believe that this must be about the worst that any average owner will achieve in everyday driving and overall consider it to be a fair result for the car and it's fun performance potential.
The Fiesta Titanium Auto is currently priced at R319 900 including a 4 year/ 60 000km service plan.
