Downham Market Academy parkrun – Full Course POV

Downham Market Academy parkrun is a flat course around the edge of fields and a school playground, on a mixture of grass and concrete paths (4 laps).

I ran Downham Market Academy parkrun on 01 June 2024, as it’s a parkrun local to where I live. The weather was cloudy and fairly windy, and there were a total of 38 finishers. I came in position 13 with an official time of 27:19. This was Downham Market Academy parkrun event #107. First position time was 17:55.

We arrived early to parkrun and parked in the car park at Downham Market Academy, near to the parkrun start area. We went into Downham Market town for post-parkrun refreshments, as my partner had his dog and dogs are not permitted at Downham Market Academy parkrun. They had to both wait for me to finish parkrun but we found a lovely café in town which allowed dogs inside.

Downham Market Academy parkrun is a very friendly parkrun and if you're in the area, it’s worth giving it a go. As there are few participants at this parkrun, it’s a good opportunity to get a PB, although I did find myself running the final (4th) lap completely solo.
