Falmouth Classic boats and Sea Shanty Festival 22

Описание к видео Falmouth Classic boats and Sea Shanty Festival 22

This was my favourite trip so far this year and we seemed to see so much in one week. The sail to Falmouth was difficult as it was a strong wind on the nose. I think it must have taken around 30 hours of sailing with lots of tacking. Maxine came down on the train which took three hours! But once anchored up in Falmouth it all seemed worth it. We spent some time on the Halford river and its local coves. Sailing up the river Fal on a perfect summer day was spectacular. The highlight of the whole trip was the Falmouth Classics. This was accompanied by a festival of Sea Shanty groups from all around the UK. Every square, pub and even alleyway had old-time sea shanty songs echoing around the streets. Spectacular weather and real ale bars everywhere. I have tried something a little different with the editing of this video, let me know your thoughts below. We have now also started up a Patreon page up to help us keep filming and sailing. It is in its early stages but will develop and expand as time goes on. Patreon.com/seapigeon. Go on buy me a coffee and enjoy the Falmouth International Sea Shanty festival.
On our Patreon page there will also be over 30 minutes of some of the shanty men set to video.

Congratulation to Irene Knight who is our first patreon.
