What a great inaugural meeting of the Lou Gehrig Fan Club at the National Baseball Hall of Fame on June 17! I had the privilege of doing an author Q&A (with Bruce Markusen and Kevin Larkin) and giving a talk on Lou's radio appearances, with segments on his famous Wheaties/Huskies flub, my search for the complete audio of his "luckiest man" speech, and his declaration that yes, Babe Ruth DID call his shot in the 1932 World Series.
