Cartographier notre avenir : le rôle de la recherche / Mapping our future : the role of research?

Depuis 2013, PhiLab travaille activement au développement de connaissances sur l’écosystème philanthropique canadien. En une dizaine d’années nous pouvons dire que nous devenus une composante de l’écosystème philanthropique canadien. De concert avec le Graduate Diploma or Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership et l’Institut Mallet nous travaillons activement à la production et mobilisation de connaissances clés afin de mieux comprendre le secteur philanthropique et l’appuyer dans l’atteinte d’une société respectueuse en matière de justice sociale et de justice environnementale.

La table ronde conclusive du Sommet donne la parole à cinq chercheur·e·s du PhiLab. Ils et elles présenteront, chacun·e à sa façon, des éléments de bilan des six dernières années de recherche réalisées régionalement ou sectoriellement. À ce bilan s’ajouteront des énoncés de vision de la contribution à venir de la recherche au développement du secteur philanthropique. Ils et elles porteront ainsi un regard critique sur le rôle que la recherche universitaire a joué et qu’elle sera amenée à bonifier pour que le mode partenarial de production des connaissances puisse pleinement contribuer à la transition sociale et écologique.

Since 2013, PhiLab has been actively developing knowledge about the Canadian philanthropic ecosystem. Over the past ten years, we have become an integral part of the Canadian philanthropic ecosystem. Together with the Graduate Diploma or Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership from Carleton University and the Institut Mallet, we are actively working to generate and mobilize key knowledge to better understand the philanthropic sector and support it in achieving a socially and environmentally just society.

The Summit's concluding round table will feature five PhiLab researchers. Each in his or her own way, they will present an assessment of the last six years of research carried out at regional or sectoral level. To this will be added vision statements on the future contribution of research to the development of the philanthropic sector. In this way, they will take a critical look at the role that university research has played, and will be called upon to enhance, so that the partnership mode of knowledge production can fully contribute to the social and ecological transition.
