L’horizon 2030 est un point repère important pour les objectifs de développement durable, en d’autres mots pour un monde plus respectueux, inclusif, solidaire, pacifique et écologique. En 2024, force est de constater l’importance de transformer nos institutions et d’adapter nos organisations aux façons d’agir et de se comporter qui permettront de faire de notre monde un monde où il fait bien vivre pour toutes les personnes, dans toutes les cultures et sur tous les territoires.

Aller dans cette direction exige la mobilisation active et responsable de tous les acteurs et de toutes les ressources à notre disposition. L’acteur philanthropique en général, et plus particulièrement les fondations subventionnaires, se doivent d’être sur la première ligne du front regroupant l’ensemble des acteurs favorables à une transitions sociale et écologique juste.

L’ouverture du Sommet rassemble quatre représentant·e·s de l’écosystème philanthropique mondial. Ils et elles brosseront, à leur façon et sous un angle particulier, les principaux défis qui se posent pour l’acteur philanthropique afin que ce dernier puisse participer pleinement et de façon pertinente à l’élaboration des politiques requises pour rendre effective la transition sociale et écologique en cours.

The 2030 horizon is an important benchmark for the Sustainable Development Goals, in other words, for a more respectful, inclusive, united, peaceful and ecological world. In 2024, we must recognize the importance of transforming our institutions and adapting our organizations to the ways of acting and behaving that will make our world a better place to live for all people, in all cultures and on all territories.

Moving in this direction requires the active and responsible mobilization of all the players and resources at our disposal. The philanthropic sector in general, and grant-making foundations in particular, have a duty to be on the front line, bringing together all the players in favor of a just social and ecological transition.

The opening of the Summit brings together four representatives of the global philanthropic ecosystem. They will outline, in their own way and from their own angle, the main challenges facing philanthropic players, so that they can play a full and relevant part in shaping the policies required to make the current social and ecological transition a reality.
