Steph and Michael are in for a treat as they watch Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” for the very first time!

In Gladiator, former Roman general Maximus (Russell Crowe), betrayed and left for dead, rises as a gladiator to seek revenge against the corrupt emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) who murdered his family and seized the throne.


Gladiator was directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, The Martian). The main cast includes Russell Crowe (A Beautiful Mind, L.A. Confidential, The Insider) as Maximus, Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line, Her, Joker and Joker: Folie à Deux) as Commodus, Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman, The Devil's Advocate, One Hour Photo) as Lucilla, Oliver Reed (Oliver!, The Devils, The Three Musketeers) as Proximo, and Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond, Amistad, Guardians of the Galaxy) as Juba.
