The Crag Hotel, once bustling with life, now stands as a silent witness to its rich history. Originally a private residence in 1845, it later transformed into a popular sanatorium, providing a retreat from the coastal heat for European settlers. In 1905, the Sarkies brothers turned it into a thriving hotel with nine bungalows, attracting visitors until World War I disrupted its fortunes. After changing hands and facing the ravages of war, the Crag Hotel tried to regain its former glory in 1947, but alas, it couldn't recapture its past allure and eventually closed its doors in 1954.
