Old Men Cry

I'm a baby boomer; I was born in 1952. My youth in the 70s was a time of hope when everyone I knew would make the world a better place when they were running things - their office, their school . . . the country ! What went wrong?

While we were talking Peace, Love and Family, the nasty, greedy people were beavering away below the radar . . . getting into positions of power. We didn't even notice them until it was too late. We should have stopped them while they were still the unpopular, obsequious kid at college or the bullying under-manager at the office. But we naively imagined everyone in our generation was like us.

Now it's for the young to tear down the social nightmare of the last forty years . . . but remember that the old hippies are not your property-hoarding enemies. We understand what has happened and desperately want to help.
