'Dissing a Co-Worker' & 'Being Old Fashioned'

First, the plaintiff says he became friends with the defendant at work, but it turns out the guy’s a scammer and a con artist. He loaned him some cash, but the defendant refuses to repay him, so he’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff loaned him money and he repaid him the following week in cash. He denies owing anything and is countersuing for defamation of character


Then, the plaintiff says she and the defendant were like brother and sister and they bonded over a love for antiques. They fell out, and now the defendant won’t pay the plaintiff for installing a security system for him at his business, so she’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff didn’t charge rent when she was a vendor at his shop, and she left one day with the security system, so he doesn’t owe a thing.
