Greg Brice – 'Weeping Willows Blues': a Milk, Wood & Dust session

Описание к видео Greg Brice – 'Weeping Willows Blues': a Milk, Wood & Dust session

Rhythm & Blues singer, musician and guitarist Greg Brice performs the traditional song 'Weeping Willows Blues', recorded by Blind Boy Fuller in 1937 and reworked by many since - not least Steve Tilston.

Taking a simple approach to recording, this uses a Blumlein pair of fig 8 mics (Sennheiser MKH 8030) on Greg's Martin guitar, and a supercardioid (Sennheiser MKH 8030) on his vocals. There has been no processing of the sound, other than addition of a little reverb. For more on the recording see: https://drbadphil.com/mkh-8030-pair-a...

Sound recording and video by Roland B Harris

Many thanks to Luke Chapman for use of his workshop
