In today's video we are testing out Joshua Weissman recipe of Homemade fermented ginger beer recipe in a Moscow Mule cocktail recipe. That's a lot of recipes but believe me... it's so worth it!

How to make Ginger beer at home

First you need a Ginger Bug
500gr water
28gr sugar
22gr Chopped ginger
Stir until dissolved, cover with cheese cloth and let it at room temp for 24 hours

Feed the ginger bug every 24 hours buy adding again 22gr of chopped ginger and 28gr of sugar. Stir, cover and repeat until the ginger bug gets fizzy

When it is fizzy, you can store the ginger bug in the fridge. It will stay alive up to a week

Homemade fermented ginger beer recipe

In a pot, add
2 quarts of water
273gr sugar
55gr grated ginger

Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for 8 minutes
Let cool down to room temperature
add 3oz of lemon juice
110 gr of filtered ginger bug
bottle and let ferment at room temp until ready.

Burp the flip top bottle once a day.

How to make moscow mule cocktail at home
2 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Simple syrup (optional)
4 oz Homemade ginger beer
