Thanks to Cris Madden, from the YouTube channel Another Cut Above; this is his technique, borrowed by myself. I have found this to be an excellent method for face lathering, using a synthetic brush. It puts a good amount of water into the soap, needed for a slick shave, and still allows you to build a voluminous lather. It's a good to start if you are looking to experiment with your natural hair brushes, as they act differently from a synthetic brush.
