We've got a problem in our house with banging pipes when appliances, toilets and sinks, etc are used especially if the water is flowing and then suddenly turned off. Apart from the loud noise, it's also bad for the pipes long term so we decided to try and fix it. There are loads of products on the market, in this video, we're checking out the Reflex Expansion Vessel Shock Arrestor available from Screwfix and other notable DIY stores, so we installed this product before any of our appliances, taps, and toilets. Surprising it's cured the problem, which isn't bad for its tiny size, so if you're trying to fix water hammer and banging pipe issues then perhaps give this little thing a go.
